Our "Video Dojo" is launched today for the first time!
The official website of Shito-ryu Shukokai Karate Union Europe is now proud to announce the launch of a new section, the "video dojo". In the video dojo you will be able to find kata videos with bunkai. In the future, perhaps we will also publish videos from competitions, events etc.

We would all like to congratulate Mr. Christopher Mileham, General Secretary of SSKU Europe, Mr. Nikolaos Karaiskakis, techical Director of SSKU Greece and Mrs Anna Hourdaki, President of SSKU Greece for their success in the Dan Gradings that took place in Italy, during the 2011 World Cup !

A new approach to martial arts: Sensei Tsutomu KAMOHARA, Technical Director of Shito-ryu Shukokai Karate Union Europe, offers an innovative martial art, the Genki budo, a practice to develop the physical well-being and morale.
The DVD entitled "Genki Budo" and is available for purchase! A single DVD costs 20 euros and the price for over 10 DVDs is 15 euros per DVD.

Dear members of the Shito-ryu Shukokai Union,
The Shito-ryu Shukokai World Cup in Tivoli, Italy has successful being finished last weekend. 150 competitors coming from 15 nations out of three continents (Europe, Asia, Australia) took part. Prior to the competition a seminar with about 200 participants under guidance of Yamada Haruyoshi, 10th Dan, Kamohara Tsutomu, 8th Dan and Kurai Toshiyuki, 8th Dan took place. I want to send my warmest thank to all the members of the organisation team of the seminars and the Shito-ryu Shukokai World Cup in Tivoli, to the referees, to the competitors and of course to teaching masters! You all have done a great job and with your engagement you have helped to further develop the SSUE.
We now are already looking forward to 2013, when the next Shito-ryu Shukokai Karatedo European Cup will take place in the huge sports complex "Sportwelt Niederoesterreich" ( http://www.sportwelt-noe.at ) in St. Poelten, Austria.

Shito-ryu Shukokai Karate Union Europe proudly presents the 2011 Shito-ryu Shukokai World Cup which will take place in Tivoli - Italy, 26-29 October 2011!
Last week, Thomas Hausner along with Franz-Roland Jany, returned from a 3-days trip to Japan. The aim of their stay was first of all to meet and discuss with the people of Ashiya University and to intensify their cooperation with them.
Thomas Hausner was then allowed to present his 7th Dan, which he succeeded in front of Yamada Haruyoshi sensei, Yazu Masahito sensei, Kurai Toshiyuki sensei and Ishitobi Osamu sensei. Finally, they took part in the celebration of Yamada sensei's inauguration to the President of the All Japan Workers Karatedo Federation. This was a big celebration with about 450 invited persons, under them many politicians, members of different Universities and about 300 karate teachers of high level from all Japan and all styles.

Seminars will also be held by Haruyoshi YAMADA sensei, 10th Dan, President of World Shito-ryu Shukokai Karate Do Union and Tsutomu KAMOHARA sensei, 8th Dan, Technical Director and Vice President of Shito-ryu Shukokai Karate Union Europe and Toshiyuki KURAI sensei, 8th Dan, assisted by high rankings of Shukokai Japan and Shukokai Europe.
The Jersey Shukokai Karate Club are celebrating 40 Years of Shukokai karate in Jersey in June 2011. and as part of the celebrations we are holding the Shito-Ryu-Shukokai European Summer Camp featuring KAMOHARA Tsutomu, 8th Dan (Chief Instructor and Technical Director, Europe)...

The Shukokai Forum was created in order to bring all Shukokai members closer with each other, to make communication between all of us easier!
